Quick Cargo Service supports Cargo Human Care

Cargo Human Care (CHC) was founded 10 years ago by Lufthansa Cargo employees and doctors from Germany with the aim of providing unbureaucratic and sustainable help to the poorest people in need in Kenya. Medicine and training are the cornerstones of the commitment: Today the association runs an orphanage for 120 children, a medical station in which 50 German doctors work regularly, and a youth home for the vocational training of the orphanage’s school leavers

Quick-Cargo Service has also been supporting Cargo Human Care for several years. We take part in the office city run every year and actively contribute with donations. This year we also had 15 participants from four branches (Gronau, Berlin, Hamburg Seefracht and Frankfurt). The office city run took place for the fifth time this year, but due to Corona, it was “virtual” – meaning everyone could run comfortably on their home route. Despite the slightly different conditions, it was a great event

Running for a good cause

This year the event was once again run for a good cause. This means that the proceeds go directly to needy families in Kenya. Cargo Human Care launched a “Family Assistance 2020” aid program in March of this year.

It’s about supplying people in need with food. The Corona virus and the associated lockdown as well as the locust plague have additionally hit the country hard this year. Many of the people who have been dependent on the help of Cargo Human Care for years found themselves in a real emergency situation due to the economic standstill.
